This index maps the publication by category and month. It preserves the documented flat HTML naming convention while replacing the old entry stream with neutral overviews. Category pages explain recurring labels and writing forms; month pages show which broad subjects shared a particular stretch of the weblog’s early run.

Supported monthly overviews

The monthly sequence is intentionally selective. It includes only periods whose material supports a responsible subject overview; gaps in the calendar remain gaps. The 2003 pages establish the mix of war and postwar debate, election and party strategy, firearms policy, press criticism, weblog exchange, Texas observations, and humour. The 2004 pages retain those strands against an election-year background, while the two supported 2005 months show continuity before the platform transition.

The later period

The 2006–2017 guide explains the move to a WordPress subdomain and the limits of what can be stated about that later run. It is an era-level landing page rather than an attempt to recreate missing individual entries.

How to use this index

Choose a category to understand a recurring editorial container, or choose a month to see how different containers appeared together. No individual-post index is provided. The emphasis is on publication history, taxonomy, and context rather than on republishing old entries.

The routes themselves are part of that history. Month filenames use a four-digit year, an underscore, and a two-digit month; category filenames keep the original lower-case labels and underscores. Those conventions remain visible so readers can move through a coherent record.
