The Later Era, 2006–2017
The Everlasting Phelps entered a second publishing era in 2006. In 2006, the weblog moved from the main domain to the phelps subdomain and adopted WordPress after using Movable Type. Publication continued through 11 December 2017.
A new host and address pattern
The change was visible in the address structure. From 2003 to 2005, the weblog used flat HTML files, numeric individual-entry paths, and separate month and category indexes. From 2006 to 2017, permalinks were organized by year and month, followed by an entry slug.
That distinction matters for navigation and web history. Main-domain links used a static path convention, while later links reflected WordPress routing. Both belong to the same completed publication, but they should not be collapsed into a fictional set of uniform pages.
What can be stated responsibly
The later weblog continued in the same broad register of independent commentary, but no individual posts from that era are summarized here. Titles and address slugs are not treated as substitutes for a text. A phrase in an address can suggest a subject while omitting tone, argument, revision, and context.
